On January 14, 2011, Pinnacle Academy 7th and 8th grade teams competed in Future City Regional tournament which was held in Baltimore Museum of Industry with participation of more than 20 teams from Mid-Atlantic states (Maryland, DC and Norther Virginia). 8th Grade Teams won the 2nd Place and 7th Grade Team received the Best Transportation award. We are very proud of our teams! |

It was a rainy Wednesday, Dec. 7 evening , but our Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten Winter Show was delightful and heart-warming! Classes performed enchanting seasonal songs on stage as parents snapped pictures and videos! Suzy Snowflake, Little Snowflake, and Frosty the Snowman were a few of the songs enjoyed by all! |

Pinnacle Academy hosted a Science Fair for grades 5-8 on December 10, 2011 and grades 1-4 on December 17, 2011. On two consecutive Saturdays, ninety PA students put their projects on display at PA for the community, as well as an esteemed panel of judges. The annual fair covers science projects in the categories of Earth, Physical and Life sciences. |

On December 9, 2011, Pinnacle Academy held its second gathering to recognize our November Puma Pride award recipients. Our Puma Pride, named after our mascot, is awarded to students who earn the most commendations on a monthly basis. We are very proud of our recipients! |

Pinnacle Academy held its annual food drive from November 1st – 18th. We would like to thank all of our students and families in helping us collect food for the needy. On Friday, Nov. 18th, we donated our collections to the organization Food for Others. Food for Others is the largest food distributor in the area and is dedicated to providing food to families in need especially in Northern Virginia. |

Our first Principals Coffee Hour was held on November 15th in the cafeteria. Principals Coffee Hours are held on the second Tuesday every month. It is a great way to have coffee and refreshments with Mr. Akpinar to discuss any questions or concerns you may have, or just to catch up. We look forward to seeing parents at future coffee hours. |
