Mr. Kailash Sathyarthi, 2014 Nobel Laureate will be visiting Pinnacle Academy, a private school based in Oakton, VA on Sep 26, 2016. Pinnacle Academy student body will have the honor of listening to the International child labor issues from one of World’s leading authority on the subject. Some of the Pinnacle Academy students, such as Medhnaa and Kushaan Saran, have been working with the grass root organization Bachpan Bachao Andolan (“Save the children”) in India that was founded by Mr. Kailash Sathyarthi in the early part of his distinguished career. Medhnaa and Kushan helped the organization raise $6,000.00supporting the great cause.
In his 34 years as a children’s rights advocate and social activist, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi has saved over 80,000 children from forced labor, has vigorously worked to call international attention to the issues surrounding child labor and has spearheaded global initiatives, and has been instrumental in launching local programs to teach trades to youth and rescue girls sold into abusive forced marriages. His courageous and tireless efforts to combat child labor, forced servitude and human trafficking are exemplary.

Pinnacle Academy is a private school offering a STEM focused,college oriented, rigorous program to its pre-school to 12th grade level students. Pinnacle Academy students are enabled to earn 13 high school credits during middle school years and an associate degree before they graduate from the Pinnacle Academy High School.
